Ross Hardman

Vocals, Voice Coaching, Trumpet, Music Theory

Since training in classical, MT and jazz singing from a young age, I have undertaken various learning & teaching styles in the past 10 years which has shaped and moulded my own pedagogy consisting of music-based practice, inclusivity, pastoral consideration and varied humour. I have taught students from the age of 7 upwards, coaching them towards examinations, both practical and theory-based, and delivering coaching techniques applied by various renowned practitioners & establishments, such as Kristin Linklater, Barbara Houseman, Knight-Thompson Speechwork, Patsy Rodenburg and others. My training at Royal Central in London on the MA Voice Studies course has provided me with the tools and experience to develop catered module plans and progressions to highlight the importance of the voice, its anatomy and relation to self in acting, singing and performance. I also practise as a jazz trumpeter and tutor for grades 1 – 8 ABRSM & Trinity Guildhall boards.

I am a driven and enthusiastic individual with a passion to drive others, setting respectable but also fun expectations for every session. I am looking to extend my student portfolio and begin creating module progressions in university settings, further exploring my skill set in movement-based voice, resonance work and efficient voicing.
