Tom is an experienced tutor who has taught in Thame for nearly 7 years for Thame Music Academy. As of March-2023 he has started Thame Music Tuition. He teaches a range of styles, but mainly focuses on contemporary music for bands. As well as teaching, Tom also runs Recording and Production workshops in the school holidays.

He started Drum lessons at age 12, and after a few years became the drummer in the school’s swing band. At this point he started to teach himself how to play Piano and Bass. He then studied music performance at Amersham college for 2 years and loved it so much that he stayed for another 2 years to study music production. After leaving college, Tom became a Music tutor at Thame Music Academy in 2016, where he taught music for nearly 7 years and got involved in music events in and around Thame, he did this until the school closed in March 2023. Tom then decided to start his own music school, Thame Music Tuition

Throughout that time Tom has played in many different types of bands, mainly as a Drummer, but also as a Bassist or Keyboardist. He used to play drums for local covers band ‘Tay O’ Lay’ and he is currently a drummer for a progressive rock band ‘The Mighty Bard’. He also enjoys writing, recording and producing music in his own time as a hobby.
